Meet Sweet Pea Shih Tzus

The first time I met a Shih Tzu was in high school and I immediately fell in love with the breed. After graduating from LSU, I got my first Shih Tzu named Bella. She was an amazing companion and we were inseparable. After a few years and a few kids, I saw a chocolate Shih Tzu for the first time and my love for Shih Tzu turned into a passion and a desire to share these wonderful companions with others. That was the beginning of Sweet Pea Shih Tzus! 

We are dedicated to producing healthy puppies with outstanding quality, compact bodies and our signature baby doll faces! 

Our breeding program is designed to produce Shih Tzu puppies that are healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. We carefully select our breeding pairs based on a variety of factors, including health, temperament, and conformation. Our puppies are raised in a loving and nurturing environment, and we take great care to ensure that they receive the best possible care and socialization.

 All of our parents are health tested and every puppy comes with a health guarantee!  We are committed to providing the best possible experience for our puppies and their families! 

 Our puppies are raised in our home and given constant love and attention by our family. My four kids help to socialize our babies from the time that their eyes open. Our puppies are exposed to normal household noises daily in our active house. Our puppies go home well socialized and with proper veterinary care.
